Nigerian rapper, M.I Abaga and Chocolate City filed a lawsuit in New York State Supreme Court in opposition to American hip-hop artist, Nas claiming that he didn’t ship the verse they needed.
In the lawsuit, Nas and Mass Appeal Records’ Ronnie Goodman, are accused of duping Chocolate City after they’d paid the rapper $50,00zero (about N18million) for the verse.
The particulars of the deal have been that Nas was supposed to say “M.I, Chocolate City, Nigeria, Queens, New York—NAS’s hometown—, Mandela, Trayvon Martin, and the struggles of Africans and African Americans” in his verse.
